Presentation conference about NEW TEMPORARY EXHIBITION:
THE ART OF WRITING AND DRAWING FROM MIDDLE AGES TO THE RENAISSANCE
During the conference the art historian Francesco Mori and Claudia Pazzini (curator of the House Museum of Palazzo Sorbello)through some pictures are going to show the ancient techniques and secrets of the Masters of the past used to realize miniatures, drawings, paintings and engravings. At the end of the conference the curators will show to everyone the new part of the Museum.
After, there will be an appetizer for everybody.
The new display in the House Museum of Palazzo Sorbello aims to enhance part and craft knowledge owned by writers and painters of past times who managed to create significant works of art and precious decorated manuscripts since the Middle Ages, representing the result of many centuries of research and experimentation handed down to the present day. In addition to the working tools used by the ancient masters for writing, drawing, painting miniatures and make engravings such as mortars, inkwells, quill pens, color pigments, organic materials, inks and other interesting objects, there are also exhibited some precious books and piece of art made with the ancient technique skills.
The House Museum during the Christmas time will open:
EVERY MORNING FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY from 11.00 am to 1.45 pm (last guided tour starts at 1.15pm).
